Consolidated Maintenance services including janitorial, pest control, and snow removal services for various locations that range from 75,000 to 560,000 square feet. throughout the District of Columbia and Maryland.

As COVID-19 cases rose throughout the country, Washington D.C.’s Department of Human Services (DHS), under the leadership of Mayor Muriel Bowser, expanded its Pandemic Emergency Program in 2020 for Highly Vulnerable Individuals (PEP-V).

PEP-V provides hotel accommodations for individuals experiencing homelessness who are at a greater risk for severe health complications from the virus that causes COVID-19, such as those who are elderly or those with prior medical conditions.

In addition to the PEP-V program, DHS created Isolation and Quarantine (ISAQ) sites in early 2020. ISAQ sites are for individuals who were exposed to the coronavirus or have tested positive for COVID and cannot isolate safely, such as those who rely on shelters

In April of 2020, Community Bridge Inc. responded to a janitorial emergency cleanup at a one of these hotels. CBI performed in an exemplary manner on this assignment and because of it, Community Bridge received an opportunity to provide janitorial services full time at the Capitol Skyline hotel. 

This award came during the beginning of the Pandemic, which of course brought challenges regarding the provision of janitorial services.  The challenges increased due to the nature of the disease and the housing of the multitude of residents affected by the Pandemic.

Community Bridge excelled during this challenge and responded with the required staff, supplies and everything that was needed to provide exceptional services at this location and the subsequent four (4) other hotel locations that we were awarded.  

In addition to providing the scheduled services, we were able to provide regularly scheduled COVID cleaning services throughout the location on a regular basis as well as respond to emergency COVID cleaning whenever the need arises.

From early 2020 to the present, this remains a great partnership between DHS and Community Bridge; it is an honor to collaborate with DHS and Mayor Bowser in this effort to provide a safe haven for the District of Columbia at risk citizens.

In June of 2020 Community Bridge Inc. was awarded the janitorial contract for The Martin Luther King Jr. Library through the DCPL Agency of the District of Columbia.

This historic landmark located at the epicenter of cultural vibrancy in downtown Washington, D.C. had been artfully restored and includes numerous unique event spaces that are both modern and versatile.

This award came during the height of the Pandemic, which of course brought many challenges regarding the provision of janitorial services.

Community Bridge accepted this challenge and was able to ramp up with the required staff, supplies and everything that was needed to begin Class A services at this location. 

In addition to providing the scheduled services we were able to provide regularly scheduled COVID cleaning services throughout the location on a regular basis as well as respond to emergency COVID cleaning whenever it was needed.

This is truly a great relationship with DC Public Library and remains a successful partnership to date.

Community Bridge has been providing Litter and Debris Removal Services to Prince Georges County since July of 2017. During that time our team has worked alongside the PG County Department of Public Works and Transportation to maintain a litter free environment along the county’s highways and roadways.

Our team has established a proactive working relationship with the County’s inspectors so that a partnership has been formed such that our team has taken ownership of their responsibilities and assist County personnel with executing the County Executive’s mandate of a “Cleaner Prince Georges”.  

Our team’s professional method of performing their tasks has garnered them praise and recognition from County residents who routinely stop to thank them for their good deeds.

Community residents has consistently praised our teams on the services that provided in keeping their neighborhood clean.  They have also commented that the CBI team is always cordial and professional.

They have contacted the Company CEO Denise Shelton to express pleasure at one of our team members going the extra mile to return a resident’s lost cell phone that was found during a litter operation.  They wanted her to know the caliber of the young men in her employ.

This is spirit of professionalism is also echoed  by the Office of Highway Maintenance who recognizes CBI as an important partner in the county’s quest to reduce the amount of litter found along the roadways. 

It is important to note that these services remained in effect throughout the pandemic without interruption.
